Just a single punch or a 1-2, instead of these weird unnatural combinations which you find so often in many classic martial arts. I am not talking about the technical execution in this video but about the principle of simplicity and using human natural movement.
This 1&1-2 punch + timing + power = big weapon.
Master that with a few other reliable high percentage tools and you have an effective core. You can better put your time in this, instead of practicing a lifetime 6+ weird glued-together combinations made for willing opponents. The same goes for melee weapon fighting. You can always upgrade your tools based on a solid core.
